The SimulEYE® YAG Laser model is designed to provide accurate training for treatments using laser capsulotomy. It has a cornea-scleral shell that can be used with or without a laser lens for YAG capsulotomy. An iris, an anterior capsule membrane, an intraocular lens (IOL), and a posterior capsule that reacts realistically to Nd laser treatment are all contained within the model.
The model needs to be filled with water before using. Although they are regarded as single-use, a single model can be used for several laser applications before it runs out, providing training flexibility.
Using these laser models requires the use of a Slit Lamp Stand in order to ensure proper technique and equipment familiarisation.
