The newest model in the SimulEYE laser training line is the SimulEYE® PRP model, which is intended for use with pan retinal photocoagulation (PRP) and other retinal laser treatments. With this model, users can practise applying peripheral lasers around retinal tears, treating the retina with PRP, and treating the macula with focused lasers. Additionally, it works with Pattern Scanning Lasers (PSL) and Laser Indirect Ophthalmoscope (LIO) procedures, allowing users to instantaneously see treatment patterns and fine-tune laser settings.
The PRP model features an open-sky design (no cornea), making it easy to use with any preferred laser lens placed directly on the sclera. It requires no water, setup, or gel as a coupling agent. Realistic argon laser settings—adjustments to spot size, power, and duration—create immediate and accurate treatment effects.
