The LightX EyeCaster is a premium integrated imaging system developed in Canada for slit lamps equipped with a beam splitter. Once installed, it becomes part of the slit lamp setup and remains ready to capture images during routine examinations.
EyeCaster provides a realistic 3D slit lamp experience that can help clinicians document what they observe during an examination. These images may be retained for clinical records, reviewed remotely, shared during live or virtual teleconsultations, and used as visual aids during patient discussions.
Because EyeCaster integrates with the slit lamp rather than being added and removed for each use, it is particularly suited to practices that want imaging consistently available in a designated examination lane. Clinicians can maintain face-to-face interaction with the patient while examination imagery supports collaboration with remote participants.
The LightX platform also provides secure cloud storage for each eye examination. Authorized users can access stored examinations when needed, helping support remote review, continuity, and traceability across patient visits.
The EyeCaster package includes the EyeCaster, an LED Smart Box Kit, and two iPhone 14 devices. A LightX App annual licence is required.
